A Japanese cloisonne enamel plate by Namikawa Sosuke
late 19th Century
of rectangular form decorated in musen enamels and silver wire with a swallow in flight before trailing cherry blossom branches on a graduating grey and green ground, shakudo rimmed, the underside decorated in gold wire with pink and red cherry blossoms on a brown ground, sealmark -- 9 x 6¾in. (23 x 17cm.).
