An 8½ Inch Gimbled Compass

the compass is blakened casement with original card showing points and degrees and the bezel is marked 75/75, with original dampening liquid, together with an early John Lilley & Sons., dry card compass in a black and brass casement and a spare compass card. Included in this lot are a pair of compensating platforms marked numbers 602 and 905, a wood stave binnacle probably made for the U.S. Navy, painted grey with a copper hood and lamp and an artificial horizon.
