A Cutter Rigged Racing Pond Model

The hull of the model built up in lifts and finished bright. The bow of the model is fitted with a brass bow plate which runs from just above the waterline to the fore foot of the keel. The bottom of the keel is fitted with a lead ballast, and the aft edge of the keel is fitted with a large rudder. The deck of the model is mahogany which is fitted with a stem plate and two attachment brackets for the bowsprit, a jib traveler bar, a mast partners, an oval deck cut-out with a mahogany and brass hatch cover, a quadrant steering gear, and chain plates for the stays. The model is riggted with standing and running rigging (new), and a full suit of sails (new) set on a gaff rigged mast with brass spreaders, gooseneck, and other rigging details.
