Both designed as a silver case of rectangular outline with engraved pierced top of foliate and floral motif and mirrored background, the larger case with additional three bird motif and circular-cut sapphire detail; the smaller with circular-cut ruby detail, both cases with ribbed sides and irregular square motif to the reverse, opening to reveal a mirror and a compartment, circa 1945, larger case 11.0 x 7.8 x 1.0 cm, smaller case 7.8 x 5.8 x 1.0 cm, with French assay marks for silver
