A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDIES AND A MATCHING SUGAR BOWL
MARK OF JOHN HOULE, 1811
the tea caddies each of oval section with a part fluted foot, the shoulder with a band of palmette motifs and a gadrooned rim, the hinged lids with leaf and flower finials, the sugar bowl of similar form raised on a short pedestal foot with a detachable lid with a matching finial, with two King's pattern caddy spoons, by William Eley & William Fearn, each piece engraved with a crest, contained in a fitted mahogany case of casket form, with brass lion's mask drop ring handles and - height of caddies 16cm (6¼in), 57oz.
