Hill & Millard was recorded in the London commercial directories from 1855-1865 as 'Military outfitters and trunk makers, 7 Duncannon Street, Strand'. In 1867 the firm advertised itself 'By Appointment to the 1st Life Guards, Grenadier, Coldstream & Scots Fusilier Guards...' and offered 'A complete outfit for £28:10s'.
