The rarity and desirability of these posters is reflected in the prices they achieve at auction. The world record for a poster sold at auction is held by the one-sheet for The Mummy which realised $453,000 in 1997, followed closely by the one-sheet for Frankenstein, which realised $198,000 in 1993.
