A large bronze compressed tripod censer and domed cover
18th Century
with twin guei-dragon handles, the cover with dragons and bats among cloud scrolls, above bands of further bats and geometric motifs, and peachsprays in high relief on liewen reserves, with elephant head shaped feet, the wooden stand carved and pierced with lotus -- 24½in. (62.2cm.) high total, (old wear).
