A pair of famille rose octagonal baluster vases
19th Century
decorated in enamels and gilt with panels of scrolling flowers and foliage on alternating coloured grounds to the necks, the bodies with a procession of various immortals travelling in boats and on animals down a turbulant river before dignitaries on a terrace, all within bands of ruyi motifs and animals -- 23 1/8in. (58.7cm.) high, (areas of restoration).
