Belin, 1826-1842]. 2 volumes, 8° (217 x 145mm). 410 hand-coloured lithographic plates only (of 530) after Werner (lacks text, some browning, neat repairs to outer corners of the 134th and 135th plates in vol. II). Later red morocco-backed marbled boards by Thierry, green paper upper wrappers to two original parts bound in as titles. The second work, here bound later from the original parts, was published as an accompaniment to Temminck's text and was completed in 53 parts, with 27 pages of text and 530 plates. cf.
