A French ormolu-mounted kingwood and parquetry poudreuse

In the Louis XV style, inlaid overall with shaped panels of cube parquetry and cross-banded strapwork, the shaped rectangular top with a central hinged sliding panel, with a mirror to the reverse, flanked to either side by hinged flaps enclosing three variously-sized blue silk-lined compartments to the right and a deep compartment with hinged lid to the left, the frieze with a simulated drawer above a slide with a maroon leather-lined writing-surface above a drawer, flanked to the right by two drawers and to the left by a simulated drawer above a drawer, the angles headed by pierced foliate mounts, on cabriole legs and pierced foliate sabots, restorations
