The octagonal dish centred by a medallion depicting a bust profile of King Louis XIV, inscribed L XIV, surrounded by eight mythological scenes, in a pierced frame depicting putti, acanthus leaves, a bust of Adam and one of Eve; the underside with a label inscribed From the Tomkinson Collection; in an octagonal green-leather fitted case, the cover with eight French Royal crowns
