The slightly serpentine top with a later pierced three-quarter gallery, inlaid with a basket of flowers within a shaped border, above a simulated drawer with crossbanding in purpleheart, above two drawers and a side drawer, the angles mounts decorated with cabochons and scrolling foliage, on cabriole legs with foliate sabots, stamped 'S. VIE' and 'JME', restorations to the marquetry of the top and the veneers, remounted, previously with a writing slide to the front
