A CHINESE COROMANDEL LACQUER EIGHT-LEAF TABLE SCREEN
Late 18th/early 19th Century
Worked on one side with ladies engaged in various pursuits on a pavilion terrace, within square panels of precious emblems and archaistic vessels, the reverse with a peacock, a phoenix and a stork perched on rockwork and smaller birds in flight below pine and prunus branches, minor losses to the lacquer
overall 11½ x 20 5/8 in. (29 x 52.3 cm )
