The carcase basically 18th Century and possibly reveneered
The rectangular top with broad chevron cross-banding enclosing green leather-lined writing surface, and framed with a moulded ormolu border with a clasp at the corners, the frieze with three drawers with rockwork escutcheons and loop handles, on cabriole legs headed by cabochons wreathed by leaves and rocaille, the feet with conforming sabots, remounted, restorations to the veneers,
