A FINE FAMILLE ROSE 'COCKERELS' PLATE
Yongzheng (1723-35)
Finely and brightly enamelled at the centre with a pair of cockerels, one standing on rockwork in front of daisy sprays and a pink foliage shrub, the other pecking on the grassy bank beside the rockwork, the border with three cartouches of rose, peony and chrysanthemum reserved on a black ground with scrolling hibiscus, between narrow green and pink diaper bands, underside rim chips
