A FAMILLE ROSE TEABOWL AND SAUCER
Circa 1730-40
The semi-eggshell porcelain boldly enamelled with a songbird perched on a flowering prunus branch in a shaped panel alternating with a ruby-ground and a yellow-ground lappet, each enclosing a mythical beast leaping amongst scrolling lotus, all around a central pink chrysanthemum-head roundel repeated in the interior of the teabowl
