(fl. 1804-1821), marked, Geneva under French occupation, with the third standard mark for gold, Geneva 1809-1814, with the Dutch date letter for March - December 1809 and the Amsterdam warranty mark 1807-1812, a maker's mark and the Dutch post-1955 mark for 18 carat gold of foreign origin, struck with inventory no. 742
Rectangular box, the cover and base with panels engine-turned with a sunburst motif radiating from an eye-shaped blank central reserve, framed by flutes, the sablé gold borders stamped with scrolling foliage, palmettes and lotus flowers in the corners, the four side panels engine-turned with horizontal reeding, the four side dividers chased with flowers on a matted rectangle, the upper border of the sides of the lid stamped with a Greek key pattern
