by François-Nicolas Chevance (fl. 1780-1793), marked, Paris, 1781/1782, with the first charge mark of Henry Clavel 1780-1788 and other marks
Handle of bulging shape with circular ends, the sides inlaid with red lacquered panels with bright cut-gold mounts, hinged gold lorgnettes with wavy sticks
4 7/8 in. (124 mm.) long, closed
