cover 1887 (23 Mar.) envelope from Mafeking to Germany, bearing 1885-87 ½d. red overprint (corner defect), 1d., 2d. and 6d. paying the 9½d. rate to Europe, twice cancelled with first type c.d.s. and with a further strike below overcancelled with large "2½d" handstamp in red, Cape Town and Weilburg c.d.s. on reverse.
