Lot Essay

Tokuda Yasokichi III was named a Bearer of Important Intangible Cultural Assets (a "Living National Treasure") by the Japanese government in 1997. He is a third-generation potter working in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, in Kutani style.
