A French brass grande sonnerie carriage clock with alarm, circa 1880
The gorge case with white enamel Roman dial (restored) with subsidiary alarm ring, blued steel moon hands, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on two gongs to the back plate, with three position sonnerie adjustment lever to the underside -- 5¾in. (14.5cm.) high
