The case with pineapple finial to the stepped chamfer top, with lion mask ring handles above silk-backed fishscale sound frets to the sides, with brass-lined fielded panels to the front and ripple-moulded borders, the brass-lined base raised on ball feet, the white painted Roman convex dial (restored) with strike/silent lever above XII, blued steel moon hands, signed GRANT, Fleet Street, LONDON., the twin wire fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with engraved border to the back plate with pendulum holdfast and repeat signature -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) high; and the brass-lined wall bracket en suite -- 26½in. (67.5cm.) high overall (2)
