A miniature month-going oak longcase clock
The hood with moulded top flanked by turned finials, with plain outset columns, the 'onion' arched trunk door with cross-banding, with conforming ornament to a later plinth with later skirting, the 8in. square gilt-brass dial with mask and foliate spandrels to a silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour and lozenge half quarter hour markers, with spurious signature along the lower dial edge J. Windmills LONDON, the matted centre with foliate scroll engraving and subsidiary seconds ring, blued steel hands, the four pillar single train movement with anchor escapement, dial and movement early 20th century, case possibly 19th century -- 66½in. (169cm.) high
