An Unusual Painted Enamel Rectangular Jardiniere
Qianlong period (1736-1795)
Each gently flaring side finely painted with a differenet scene of birds and flowers within ornate borders separated by dragon roundels at the indented corners, all reserved on a ground of lavender diaper and black and gold foliate scroll on a pale blue ground, with famille rose decoration reserved on a yellow ground on the rim and four supports, the center of the base painted in blue with a rectangular dragon-scroll motif
