A Rare Set of Five Small Wucai Dishes
Wanli six-character marks in underglaze blue within a double circle and of the period (1573-1619)
Each decorated in the interior with a prancing qilin supporting a banner-hung lantern atop its back, surrounded by babao and clouds and encircled by a band of foliate meander in the well, the exterior with ribbon-tied babao alternating with lanterns, the foot encircled by classic scroll, all within double-line borders
