Chenghua mark, Chongzhen period, circa 1628-1644
Painted in the center with a scene of a monkey seated on rocks beneath a fruiting peach tree, with a recumbent deer nearby and a bird and insects in flight above, all below the shallow well and the everted rim painted with four cartouches of flower sprigs reserved on a ground of multicolored lozenge pattern, with brown-dressed outer edge
