A GOLD-MOUNTED HAIR CRYSTAL BOTTLE
Bottle, 1750-1860; mounting, Marcus and Co., circa 1900
Of flattened ovoid form with waisted neck, the stone with small tourmaline needles evenly distributed throughout, the sides with masks and fixed-ring handles, mounted with a gold collar, an amethyst-embellished gold chain and finger ring, and a chain attached to a gold-mounted jadeite stopper further embellished with small amethyst cabochons
