Of flattened, double gourd form with waisted neck, carved in low relief in the upper lobe with a poetic inscription that is continued on the reverse upper lobe, the lower lobe carved with blossoming prunus on one side and lingzhi and blossoming orchids on the other, the stone of even white tone, stopper

Lot Essay

The fourteen-character poem alludes to the uniquely pleasant fragrances of lingzhi, blossoming orchid, and plum.
