Naturistically carved in the form of a lotus leaf, the sides enveloped by the stalk and a small insect, a beetle resting on the shoulder, the neck formed from the curly edge of the leaf, stopper

Lot Essay

Although this design is seen in porcelain bottles of nineteenth century date, this appears to be the only known example in jade.
