Delft, 1753, no apparent maker's mark, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1814-1893
Octagonal, the hinged mother-of-pearl cover carved with several standing figures of fishermen, a river with boats and a city in the background, the front of the box chased and engraved with the coat-of-arms of Van Schie, a figure looking to the left, the reverse with a boat, two swans and a village, the short sides with two monograms, marked on border
