Guicciardini's work was originally published in Italian as Descrittione ... di tutti i Paesi-Bassi (Antwerp: 1567), and was reissued frequently over the following years in both Italian and French. The first Latin edition was published in 1613 in Telle's translation, which Brunet describes as 'bien écrit, et de plus contient des additions importantes qui le rendent préférable au texte original'. Cf. Brunet II, col.1806 (first Latin edition).
