Second half 18th Century, probably Rotterdam
Painted in manganese-red and blue with a gin salesman standing upon a chequered floor, carrying a basket with bottles around his neck and holding a flask in his outstretched left hand, flanked by the inscription GOET KOOP IENEVER LOOP AN LOOP AN (Cheap gin come in come in), restoration to some tiles
3 x 4 tiles, 39.1 cm. (15 3/8 in.) wide, 51.8 cm. (20 3/8 in.) high
