With signature Rantei (Kyoto), Late Edo or Meiji Period (Mid-Late 19th Century)
Katabori with a thin, flat base, stained ivory; Hotei facing a procession of four Chinese boys each of them with his hands on the waist of the next, the boy at the front touching Hotei's right hand with his left hand and Hotei's fan with his right hand, one of them wearing the typical domed hat, another boy in a hat behind Hotei hiding from the others, Hotei's sack lying at the back, a small circular seat at the front, the himotoshi formed by a hole in the base, signed with large incised and stained characters underneath the base Nagai Rantei Seiyo
