of campana form, the lower body chased and embossed with alternate rose, and chrysanthemum panels, the pedestal foot with acanthus knop, the base chased and embossed with alternate rose, and thistle panels, the cover with acanthus edging, and raised moulded centre, surmounted a finial in the form of a sailor standing by an anchor, interior gilded, the cup engraved "CANTON REGATTA CLUB Wherry Cup won by Mr. Thomson's Bee 11th July 1837." 26cm(10¼in)high, 24oz
