Designed as a carved amethyst mother and child monkey, surmounting an onyx and polished gold stepped plinth, accented by rose-cut diamond trim, the base enhanced by calibré-cut amber and rose-cut diamond accents, enclosing a revolving time display with a triangular-cut diamond indicator, of gilt-finished jeweled lever movement, the base supported by amethyst boules, mounted in gold, circa 1929, 3¾ x 3¼ x 3¾ ins., in a Van Cleef & Arpels-Verger burgandy leather fitted case
