The arched portico surmounted by a flambeau torch bearing drapped cherub, seated on a platform, flanked by floral sprays, the sides and front pillars flanked by infant figures, with leaf capped volute scroll projections to the sides, on a concave sided polygonal base with toupie feet, the cobalt blue ground panels decorated with cavorting cherubs in the manner of Boucher, and ribbon tied floral sprays to the sides, the dial with Roman hours, printed with the retailer's name JOHN HALL ... MANCHESTER., the twin barrel movement with strike on bell and stamped AD 1179 to the backplate
