Cylindrical, the sides and cover applied with braided gold borders enclosing panels of white enamel and gold star-studded translucent blue enamel over engine turning, the base engraved with monogram AE under an earl's coronet, now fitted as a lighter, marked inside cover, the body with discharge of Henri Clavel and later control marks, maker's mark and town mark obscured by fitting
