This inkstand was presented to Oswald Stoll, proprietor of the Coliseum for providing the Russian Balalaika Court Orchestra to perform at Sandringham, before their Majesties. This lot is accompanied by the original letter from the General Keeper of the Privy Purse, recording the gift, on instructions from Edward VII.
