The crest and coronet are those of Plymouth, for Other Archer Windsor, 7th Earl of Plymouth (1785-1833). In 1811, he married Mary (1792-1864), 1st daughter of John Frederick Sackville, 3rd Duke of Dorset at her family's estate Knole, Kent. The Earl and Countess lived at Knole for several years following the death of her mother in 1825, and these candlesticks were probably commissioned then.
