Hossein 'Ali Mirza (1788-1835) was the fifth son of Fath 'Ali Shah. He was the governor of Fars province for 37 years. On his father's death he announced his independence and even minted coins in the name of Hossein 'Ali Shah. Muhammad Shah's army marched on Fars and arrested the self-appointed King and took him back to Tehran, where he died of plague. (Bamdad, M.: Dictionary of National Biography of Iran, I, Tehran, 1966, pp. 438-42.)
The scribe 'Ali Muhammad Shirazi died in 1255 (1839-40 AD). Among his recorded works are other manuscripts commissioned by Hossein 'Ali Mirza.
