majority composed of glazed stoneware bearing a decorative advertising, for example -- Areca Nut Tooth Paste - Strengthens the Gums, Preserves and Beautifies the TEETH and Saponaceous Tooth Powder, prepared from pure white soap as recommended by Dr.Bowditch, being the only dentrifrice calculated to preserve and thoroughly cleanse the teeth rendered agreeable for use & delicately scented by F.S. Cleaver 32 & 33 Red Lion Street, Holborn, London; and Cheery Tooth Paste, Patronised by the Queen, for beautifying and preserving the teeth & gums, prepared by John Gosnell & Co. London
