A fine early 18th-Century set of English boxwood Napier's Bones,
comprising ten calculating rods with punched and inked-in numerals, triple cube and square root rod, and fixed multiplier rod and lip, the case with geometric designs and sliding cover, one side of the case with an inscription John Baker His Nappors Boanes 1708/9 -- 3 11/16in. (9.4cm) wide
