Charles Butler Grace was W.G.'s youngest son and an Electrical Engineer by profession. One of W.G.'s most enjoyable matches in 1899 for London County was at Crystal Palace on 26 June when he put on 100 in less than an hour with Charles, aged 18, who made 60. Charles was an enthusiastic club cricketer who literally died at the wicket after hitting the boundary which brought up the 300, his team's highest-ever score
