The 'Star' award to Bunton 'Best & Fairest' for 1935, the season when Bunton won his third Brownlow medal. He had won two already in 1931-32 and was runner up in 1934. Many argue that Bunton was the greatest player the game has ever seen. He played as a rover and is said to have averaged 28 kicks a game, also pioneering the use of constructive handball. He died in a road accident, aged 44 in September 1955. (4)
