A RARE JEWELLED TWO-COLOR GOLD, SILVER-GILT AND GUILLOCHÉ ENAMEL EGG BONBONNIÈRE
by Fabergé and with the workmaster's mark of Henrik Wigström, St. Petersburg, 1896-1908, with scratched inventory number 3139
The body enamelled in pale blue over moiré guilloché ground with painted sepia of ribbon-tied foliage and applied with a stylized two-color gold laurel-leaf rim, set at each end with a cabochon ruby and forming stylized alternated cartouches enclosing either open-work trellis with rosettes on sky blue guilloché enamel or a gold-mounted rosette set with a ruby cabochon, the hinged cover with a sea blue guilloché enamel band, enclosing a gold-mounted rose-cut diamond thumbpiece with gold leaves on each side and surmounted by a tied ribbon, marked
