Roses, parrot tulips, an iris, morning glory and other flowers in a sculpted vase on a ledge, a fountain and trees beyond

We are grateful to Mr. Fred Meijer of the RKD for confirming the attribution on the basis of a photograph and for pointing out that the attribution was first made by Ineke Wansink on the basis of a photograph in 1987. He believes of the artist's oeuvre that 'the style and handling of the various signed ones among them is fully in keeping [with that of the present lot]' (letter, 8 February 2002).
