We are grateful to Professor Nicola Spinosa who has confirmed the attribution after examining the painting in the original. The style of this picture can be compared to a Boy in a kitchen interior (private collection) of similar dimensions (see L. Salerno, Nuovi studi su la natura morta italiana, Rome, 1989, p. 104, fig. 99).
