Lot Essay

In the present lot 17th and 19th century elements can be seen. A Chinese Kangxi jar and cover and a 19th century Chinese figure are featured on top of a 19th century Dutch rosewood and ebony cabinet on stand with raised panels in Dutch renaissance style. On the table, on a Turkish 'Ushak' rug, stands a Chinese transition (17th century) style silver mounted jug. The lady sits on a Dutch side-chair covered in gilt-embossed leather panel.
