The rectangular top set with a gilt-tooled green leather writing surface, above a frieze drawer with two short drawers to one side, and a deep drawer with locked interior to the other side, the escutcheons as shield-bearing swans, the sides with a classical mask, the reverse with classical motifs, on eight turned columnar legs joined by two 'X'-shaped stretchers
